Jakarta, October 27, 2022 - Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) Sinar Mas’ business unit, PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (Tjiwi Kimia) won the top 3 highest award related to social security for employment Paritrana Award 2021 at the Vice President's Palace, Jakarta (27/10). The award was handed over directly by Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor to President Director of Tjiwi Kimia Suhendra Wiriadinata, and witnessed by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, President Director of BPJS Employment Anggoro Eko Cahyo.
Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy said that this is the fifth year the Paritrana Award has been given, for the 2021 assessment, with more than 700,000 business entities selected by the provincial committee, 34 provincial governments, as well as 514 district and city governments.
He said the Paritrana Award will continue to be given to appreciate employers who are committed to providing protection for workers, and local governments.
In his remarks, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin expressed his appreciation and congratulations to the recipients of the 2021 Paritrana Award. He hopes that protection and welfare for workers can continue to be carried out and better following this award.

After the event, President Director of Tjiwi Kimia Suhendra Wiriadinata said that this award is a manifestation of the mandate from Sinar Mas’ founder Eka Tjipta Widjaja, where Tjiwi Kimia is guided by taking a role in providing benefits to the community around the company, one of which is by providing protection to 15,000 vulnerable workers around the company. factories and East Java in general through the National Movement to Care for the Protection of Vulnerable Workers (GN Circle) BPJS Employment.
The Paritrana Award 2021 is a government program initiated by the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK), Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker), and BPJS Employment.
This award is aimed to give appreciation to the local government, business actors, who have supported the implementation of the employment social security program.
