Tangerang, October 9, 2024 - APP Group through its business unit, PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Tbk, received the Primaniyarta Award for the Sustainable Exporter category at the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2024. The award emphasizes APP Group's commitment to sustainable business practices, as well as its efforts to advance the national pulp and paper industry and its contribution to improving the competitiveness of Indonesian products in the international market.
TEI 2024 is the largest trade show in Indonesia organized by the Ministry of Trade. The Primaniyarta Award itself is the highest award for exporters who excel in encouraging exports of Indonesia's superior products.
President Joko Widodo in his speech emphasized the importance of innovation in marketing in the digital era, “Now is the digital era. Marketing Indonesian products can no longer be conventional. We must utilize digital technology to expand market reach. I welcome Trade Expo Indonesia to market our superior products to the international market,” he said.
Meanwhile, Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan added, “Trade Expo Indonesia continues to record growth, with total transactions reaching Rp475 trillion, thanks to hard work together and the full support of President Jokowi.”
Responding to APP Group's Primaniyarta award, APP Group Managing Director Suhendra Wiriadinata said that this award is a strong example of our commitment to deliver high quality and sustainable national products. “This award motivates us to continue to innovate, and make a real contribution to economic growth and environmental sustainability,” he said.
“We believe that strengthening the presence of Indonesian products in the international market must go hand in hand with environmental responsibility. With a sustainable approach, we are confident that Indonesian products will be increasingly in demand in the global market,” Suhendra added.
As part of its commitment to expanding international markets and forging strategic partnerships, APP Group also signed five Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with various parties at TEI 2024.

We continue to focus on quality and sustainability to ensure that our products can contribute positively in the global market, both in terms of economy and environment, thus providing sustainable long-term benefits for all stakeholders,” Suhendra explained.
At the TEI 2024 exhibition, APP Group showcased its superior paper products that have been exported to more than 150 countries. As part of its Sustainability Roadmap Vision (SRV) 2030, APP Group ensures that its products, such as copy paper, printing paper, packaging paper, and tissue, are produced with sustainability in mind, and have been recognized with international certifications such as PEFC and SVLK. These SRV 2030 commitments include improving production efficiency, conserving forests, and ensuring products are environmentally friendly and provide benefits to society.
