1. Significant Contribution to Humanity: PT OKI Pulp & Paper Mills Sets Blood Donation Record

PT OKI Pulp & Paper Mills received an award from the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of OKI Regency for achieving a record-breaking blood donation event, collecting 250 bags of blood. This social initiative was held at Klinik SehatQ, Bukit Batu Village, on October 29, 2024. The annual program involved the company’s employees as donors, aiming to help meet the blood supply needs of Kayuagung Regional Hospital and local health centers. Sirni Lestari, Secretary of PMI OKI, expressed her appreciation to PT OKI Pulp & Paper Mills and hoped other companies would follow suit. This blood donation reflects the company’s commitment to social care and humanitarian efforts.

2. PT Arara Abadi Trains Farmers in Champion Program Under DMPA

On November 21, 2024, 22 farmers and 8 field agricultural extension officers (PPL) from nine villages/wards in Tualang District, Siak Regency, participated in the Champion Farmer Training. This initiative is part of PT Arara Abadi’s Desa Makmur Peduli Alam (DMPA) program, a horticulture-focused project under the APP Group. Held at PT Arara Abadi’s Training Center, the training emphasized the theme Horticultural Crop Cultivation, with subtopics on making natural pesticides and biosaka. The event was attended by Elka Roza, SP., M.Si., Head of the Tualang Agricultural Extension Center, as well as Kiswanto and the PT Arara Abadi CD-CSR team. The program aims to create skilled farmers and promote the use of organic pesticides to support environmental sustainability. In addition to theoretical sessions, participants engaged in field practices and visits to PT Arara Abadi’s assisted farms in Perawang Barat Village. High enthusiasm was evident among participants, who expressed hopes that such training would continue to empower and improve the welfare of farmers.

3. PT SBA Wood Industries Builds Village Office and Early Childhood School in Simpang Tiga Sakti Village

As a supplier partner of APP Group, PT SBA Wood Industries demonstrated its commitment to community development through a CSR program by providing a new Village Office and Early Childhood Education (PAUD) School to Simpang Tiga Sakti Village, Tulung Selapan, OKI, on November 18, 2024. The contribution, valued at nearly IDR 1 billion, was inaugurated by Tulung Selapan Subdistrict Head, Muhammad Saleh, who praised the company’s efforts. Selamat, the leader of PT SBA Wood Industries, emphasized that this initiative is part of the company’s commitment to social responsibility and adherence to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. It supports sustainable development and fire prevention efforts (Karhutla) while fostering forestry partnerships to boost the village’s economy.
