The Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia has once again presented the Occupational Health and Safety (K3) award in 2023. The award is part of the government's efforts, particularly by the Ministry of Manpower, to promote K3 by recognizing companies and governors as K3 advocates.
Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) Sinar Mas business unit, PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Tbk (IKPP) Tangerang Mill, has once again received an award in the prevention and control category of HIV-AIDS and Covid-19. The award was presented by the Minister of Manpower, Ida Fauziah.
Kholisul Fatikhin, Head of Sustainability at PT IKPP Tangerang Mill, who attended the event representing the company, stated that this award is the result of the company's commitment to implementing K3 in the workplace.
"We are grateful to the Almighty since 2014, as we have been able to achieve the K3 award. This demonstrates the company's commitment to K3 implementation," he said.
Kholisul also added that implementing K3 is a significant investment to ensure the continuous improvement and maintenance of the company's productivity. This enables smooth production activities within the company.
"The implementation of K3 ensures the protection of workers' safety and health. K3 implementation guarantees that every production resource can be used and utilized safely, efficiently, and ensures that the production process runs smoothly within the company," he emphasized.
