PT Arara Abadi and the Riau Provincial Government inaugurated Resort Based Management (RBM) office in Dosan Village, Siak Regency, Riau.
Riau Governor Syamsuar appreciated PT Arara Abadi initiatives to build the resort. "We thank PT Arara Abadi for the RBM office. We hope this resort would be able to prevent the land fires in the area," he added.
The villagers were also able to use the area for farming purposes in which PT Arara Abadi also provided tree seed and corn seed so that they could maintain food security during the pandemic. .
Director of PT Arara Abadi Edi Haris said that Indonesia’s first forest fire resort was created to support the local government effort to tackle forest and land fires in the areas.
Edi explained, “ The RBM also provides the forest and land fire prevention teams , the fire brigade team in this resort along with the locals, they will help us educate people about the danger of slash and burn practices.
