Jakarta, September 12, 2024 – PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (Tjiwi Kimia), a business unit of APP Group, has successfully won the Best Business Entity award in the manufacturing sector at the 2024 Paritrana Award. The award was presented by the Chairman of the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Supervisory Board, Muhammad Zuhri, to Tjiwi Kimia's CEO, Suhendra Wiriadinata, in the presence of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ma’ruf Amin, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs, Muhadjir Effendy, Minister of Manpower, Ida Fauziyah, and the President Director of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, Anggoro Eko Cahyo.
In his speech, Vice President Ma’ruf Amin stated that the Employment Social Security Protection Program is a tangible manifestation of the state’s presence in providing protection and welfare for workers and their families. "I hope that by 2045, 99.5 percent of workers in Indonesia will be fully protected through this program."
"To realize the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045, we need full support from all stakeholders, including ministries, agencies, local governments, and villages. Everyone must actively work to ensure that every worker becomes a participant in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and receives adequate protection," he added.
The Paritrana Award is a government initiative that started in 2017, aimed at appreciating local governments, business entities, and entrepreneurs who have shown a strong commitment to supporting the implementation of the employment social security program. The assessment categories for the Paritrana Award include compliance with contribution payments, innovation in protecting vulnerable workers, and commitment to the sustainability of social security programs.
