Meet Jian Yang, the Singaporean man who owns the second-largest doll collection in the world. However, his 12,000 figurines and Barbie dolls collection is not the only thing that made him famous--it’s also what they wear.
Jian got thrust into the international limelight through his dolls’ couture outfits he crafted using tissue, newspapers, and other paper products. For his choice of materials, his doll dresses are dubbed as sustainable fashion because they are biodegradable, recyclable, and compostable--just like the title of his book, #flushablefashion.
