Founded in 1972, PT Tjiwi Kimia has evolved from a caustic soda manufacturer to one of the largest paper producers in Indonesia, with a production capacity of over 1,800,000 metric tons per year. The company also produces various paper products, packaging, and school and office supplies, which are widely exported to international markets.

In its efforts to implement ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles, Tjiwi Kimia has operated a Solar Power Plant (PLTS) with a capacity of 9.8 MWp on an area of 11.4 hectares, capable of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by up to 12,400 tons of CO2 per year. "The adoption of solar panel technology is our effort to contribute to creating a better future through the decarbonization process," said Suhendra.
The award was presented at an event held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, attended by various parties, including government officials, academics, and business associations. The event aims to inspire other companies in Indonesia to continue innovating and enhancing their competitiveness.
