In commemoration of Eid al Adha 1444 H, business units of Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) Sinar Mas participated by donating qurban animals in several locations. This donation was part of corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities to show the company’s concern for others. These qurban animals were distributed to the surrounding communities and other related stakeholders around the company's operational areas.
“Through this qurban, we want to give something back to the communities in need. Other than that, we really hope that it can fulfill the nutritional needs of people in the surrounding communities, as we all know that there are still a lot of people who are not able to meet their monthly needs of animal protein, especially meats,” said Head of Corporate Social Responsibility of PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper (IKPP) Tbk - Serang Mill, Dani Kusumah.
In addition, APP Sinar Mas is committed to donate qurban animals with good health conditions, as stated by the Head of Sustainability of PT IKPP - Tangerang Mill, Kholisul Fatikhin. “Before we donated qurban animals, we had ensured that all of them were in good health. Each animal had gone through health examinations,” he explained.
