Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) Sinar Mas participated in a blood donation held by Tzu Chi Sinar Mas Branch as part of the 100 Years Anniversary of Eka Tjipta Widjaja activities series at Sinarmas Land Plaza, Central Jakarta on Thursday, August 11, 2022. In this activity, Tzu Chi Sinar Mas Branch collaborated with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) to invite Sinar Mas employees from various pillars to donate blood.
The enthusiasm for this blood donation can be seen from the number of potential blood donors, which reached 227 people, until eventually managed to collect 198 bags of blood. In this activity, PMI provides up to 12 beds to facilitate the flow of blood donors.
The blood donation activity this time was also attended by first-time donors. They expressed a longing to participate in blood donation for a long time, but had not received the opportunity yet. Donors claimed that they felt encouraged to help people in need.
Blood Donation in PT Paper Factory Tjiwi Kimia Tbk
In addition to Jakarta, blood donation activities in the series of the 100 Years Anniversary of Eka Tjipta Widjaja were also held at PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk. Tzu Chi Sinar Mas Branch collaborated with the Sinar Mas Society of East Java and PMI to hold blood donation at Converting Production Area 2, PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk on Friday, August 12, 2022.
The blood donation was open to all Tjiwi Kimia employees. It was noted that approximately 50 donors participated on this occasion.
In commemoration of the 100 Years Anniversary of Eka Tjipta Widjaja, Tzu Chi collaborated with various business pillars of Sinar Mas to hold regular blood donation. There are three main activities that become the focus of Tzu Chi Sinar Mas Branch in commemorating the 100 Years Anniversary of Eka Tjipta Widjaja as the founder of Sinar Mas Group, namely blood donation, tree planting, and 5KM social service (cataract, cleft lip, and hernia).
