Speaking on the participation of APPJ and Universal Paper Co. Ltd. in EcoPro 2021, its Representative Director Tan Ui Sian said, “APPJ and Universal Paper Co. Ltd. are proud to support and participate in EcoPro 2021. It presents an excellent platform both for us to showcase our products and solutions for a sustainable world, but also provides us an opportunity to engage a global audience to exchange ideas and learn from others. No single company or country holds all the solutions to tackle some of the greatest environmental challenges facing this generation, but collectively, if we act together and pull together our energies, resources and ideas, we can definitely accelerate the pace of actions that will protect and preserve the environment for this and future generations.”

The booth was located within the Revitalizing Business sub-theme zone, which also housed participating companies and organizations representing a variety of businesses from small and medium enterprises to global brands. Next-generation environmental and SDGs products and technologies covering every area of business, including consumer products, industrial goods, energies and services, also gathered together under the exhibition.

Apart from showcasing the companies’ range of sustainable and sustainably-produced paper and packaging products, the booth also introduced visitors to APP’s flagship Desa Makmur Peduli Api program (Integrated Forestry & Farming System) under the company’s Forest Conservation Policy to empower communities surrounding its operations to actively participate in sustainable forest management, and the work of its Belantara Foundation to invest in local communities and the Indonesian landscape towards making a positive impact on forest protection and restoration.

EcoPro 2021 was held at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center and featured over 100 exhibitors and more than 450 exhibition booths, and attracted more than 65,000 visitors over the 3 days.
