1. PT IKPP Tangerang Planted Loa Trees on Cisadane Riverbank and Organized the Proklim Coaching
PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Tbk (IKPP) Tangerang Mill planted Ficus/Ara trees, commonly known as loa trees, along Cisadane Riverbank with local farmers. This activity was carried out to prevent landslides on Cisadane Riverbank and improve air quality. On this occasion, PT IKPP Tangerang also donated agricultural tools to the farmers, including 15 hoes, 15 pairs of boots, 30 breadfruit trees, and 60 loa trees.
On other occasions, PT IKPP Tangerang also organized the coaching of the Climate Village Program (ProKlim) towards the national level at Pakulonan 2 State Elementary School and Gardenia Loka Graha Raya Cluster, Paku Jaya Village in North of Serpong, South Tangerang. ProKlim is a national program managed by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), aiming to increase community involvement in climate change adaptation and mitigation, as well as reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
2. PT LPPPI Held a Blood Donation Activity
In commemoration of the 2023 National OHS Month and the 85th anniversary of Sinar Mas which will be celebrated this year, unit business of APP Sinar Mas - PT Lontar Papyrus Pulp and Paper Industry (LPPPI) in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Jambi City held a blood donation activity which was attended by employees of PT LPPPI, PT Wirakarya Sakti (WKS), partners, local communities, and high school students of Yayasan Pendidikan Mayang Mangurai (YPMM).
3. Tzu Chi APP Sinar Mas Volunteer Community of PT KMA Palembang and PT KMA Lampung Handed Over Humanitarian Aid for Children
Tzu Chi APP Sinar Mas volunteer community from PT Konverta Mitra Abadi (KMA) Palembang showed their concern for children that live in Kasih Bunda Orphanage, Ilir, Palembang by donating 500 kg of rice to support the orphanage operational. Volunteers also donated food packages to 30 needy residents that live near to company.
Meanwhile, the Tzu Chi APP Sinar Mas volunteer community from PT KMA Lampung showed their concern for stunting prevention in South Lampung area. Located at Branti Raya Health Center, Natar District, South Lampung, volunteers donated food packages for 44 children with growth disorders, to prevent chronic malnutrition (stunting). The packages contained of 400 grams of formula milk powder and 1 kg of eggs. This activity also involved several parties, including posyandu, village officials, the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Anak Tuha, and other companies in Natar area.
