- Commemorating World AIDS Day, PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper - Tangerang Mill Holds VCT (Voluntary Counseling and Testing) Tests
In order to commemorate AIDS Day 2024, PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper - Tangerang Mill (IKT) invited 16 Women Farmers Groups (KWT) to conduct Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) tests. VCT is a series of tests and counseling that are carried out voluntarily and aim to detect HIV infection as early as possible. This test activity was held at KWT Good Farm, Paku Jaya, North Serpong on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
Public Affairs IKT - Tangerang Mill, Lily Yulianingsih said that the purpose of this test was to educate residents about HIV and collaborated with IKT's OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) department and Paku Alam Community Health Center.
“We want to provide education about HIV/AIDS to residents, especially the Women Farmers Group (KWT) in collaboration with the IKT OHS and the local Puskesmas,”
A total of 60 people attended this activity and received socialization materials on P2HIV/AIDS, P4GN, and clean lifestyle from OHS IKT. IKT OHS Manager, Irmawan, added that the program also included socialization to the community about the Gema Daya K3 program at IKT.
IKT has an OHS Power Echo program and one of them is socialization to the community. The Ministry of Manpower asks for the active role of the Company to be able to educate not only to employees, but also to the community,” concluded Irmawan.
- PT Arara Abadi Collaborates with API Indonesia and BPPM to Held a Workshop to Increase Honey Bee Productivity
PT Arara Abadi, in collaboration with the Indonesian Beekeeping Association (API Indonesia) and the Community Training and Development Center (BPPM), held a basic training workshop on honey bee cultivation management for representatives of the Bina Madu Farmer Group and beekeepers in the PT Arara Abadi Rasau Kuning District concession area.
The workshop, which was attended by dozens of participants, aimed to increase the productivity and quality of honey through NTFP (Non-Timber Forest Products) training. The training lasted for two days (December 14-15, 2024) and included theoretical learning, discussion of obstacles, and field practice guided by the API Center Jakarta Team. The workshop is also expected to increase farmers' knowledge and economic income and enable honey exports through API Indonesia connections.

PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper - Tangerang Mill (IKT) has successfully transformed Good Farm Paku Jaya in North Serpong, South Tangerang, an agricultural land developed through the Women Farmers Group (KWT) program into an Edu Tourism site. This is a form of community economic empowerment through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. In this soft launching, participants consisting of children looked very enthusiastic about playing traditional games and also learning about plants. This activity is also an effort by the Company to be able to increase the productivity of MSMEs and the income of KWT Good Farm.
Public Affairs IKT - Tangerang Mill, Lily Yulianingsih, said that in the future Edu Wisata Good Farm will open cooperation with various schools in South Tangerang from kindergarten to junior high school.
“We hope that not only Tangsel or North Serpong, but also Jakarta who want to know about locations like this, so they can come,” Lily concluded.
