Toronto, Ontario, Canada – APP Canada is thrilled to announce its sponsorship of Cayden Goodridge Motorsport for the upcoming 36th edition of the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto, taking place from July 19-21, 2024. The sponsorship marks APP’s first time backing a motorsport championship.
This sponsorship is strongly aligned with the company’s commitment to support the Canadian marketplace and contribute to local culture, events and talent. With the support of APP, the Cayden Goodridge Motorsport team will be well equipped to continue to showcase its outstanding performance at the Honda Indy Toronto.
Established in 1986, the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto is one of the top sporting events in Canada, and largest in Ontario, attracting over 100,000 attendees and national media coverage. During the festival, audiences will have a chance to watch 20-year-old Cayden Goodridge, compete in the VPX Motorsport and Policaro Motorsport Porsche 718 GT4RS Clubsport, in two key races on Saturday, July 20th, and Sunday, July 21st, as part of the Sports Car Championship Canada presented by Michelin (SCCC). These races, taking place ahead of the main Honda Indy Toronto race on Sunday, July 21st are integral to the ‘Indy weekend’ festivities as talents like Goodridge compete for top rankings within the SCCC circuit.
Goodridge, the team’s driver, remarked, “We are excited to have APP Canada on board for the Honda Indy Toronto. There is a clear commitment to support the local community and foster excellence in sport, common and shared values within our organizations.”
With a history of over 25 years operating in Canada, APP aims to show its commitment to its business in Canada by continuing to provide quality paper products, such as its Paperline photocopy paper. Aside from APP’s logo being prominently showcased on the team’s racecar, the Paperline logo will also be displayed. Additionally, the shirts of the Cayden Goodridge Motorsport pit crew will also sport the APP logo.
Ian Lifshitz, the Head of Sustainability and Public Affairs for the Americas at APP, shared, “Having started his racing career just four years ago, Cayden has shown a clear racing prowess that makes him a fierce and leading competitor on the track and we are thrilled to be apart of his success.”
“In a way, race car driving and the paper business are not that different as they both require a sense of speed, adaptability, and determination to succeed and get ahead. APP Canada is the premier leader of paper solutions across the country, much like how Cayden Goodridge has quickly become a recognised name in the racing community,” added Lifshitz.
