APP Sinar Mas Activity Recap in July 2022

1. Company Donation for Eid al Adha Celebration

In commemoration of Eid al Adha 1443H, business units and supplier partners of Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) Sinar Mas donated qurban in several locations. PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper (PT IKPP) Tangerang Mill delivered qurban animals, which consisted of 14 lambs and 10 cows that were given to factory area in North Serpong, South Tangerang. PT IKPP Serang also donated 56 qurban animals in the form of lambs and sheep to surrounding communities. Qurban donations were also conducted by PT Pindo Deli Pulp & Paper Mills, PT OKI Pulp & Paper Mills, PT Ekamas Fortuna, PT Lontar Papyrus Pulp & Paper, supplier partner Bumi Mekar Hijau (BMH), dan other APP Sinar Mas business units.

2. Doctoral Students from UNRI Visited APP Sinar Mas’ Biosphere Reserve

27 doctoral students from the Environment Studies Program of Riau University (UNRI) conducted a field study to a biosphere reserve that belongs to PT Arara Abadi, a business unit of APP Sinar Mas. The visit was attended by the Rector of UNRI, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Aras Mulyadi, M.Sc, along with 2 supervising lecturers. The main destination of the visit was the areal of Biosphere Reserve Giam Siak Kecil-Bukit Batu, which is located in the concession area of PT Sakatao Pratama Makmur (SPM), a supplier partner that provides wood raw materials for APP Sinar Mas

3. The Tzu Chi Foundation with APP Sinar Mas Aided Fire Victims from Mendahara Tengah Village

Volunteers from Tzu Chi APP Sinar Mas from PT Wira Karya Sakti Jambi donated packages of food supplies for fire victims in RT 004 Dusun Sulawesi, Pematang Mendahara Tengah Village on Thursday, June 30, 2022. The social service was received well by the Village Chief Nurhidayah along with the victims’ families. The spirit of caring was revived in the midst of the disaster through the volunteers’ contribution.
