Indah Kiat Receives Zero-Accident Award

PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper (PT IKPP) Tangerang Mill received an award from the Banten Provincial Government for its achievement in maintaining Occupational Health and Safety with zero workplace accident.

The Head of Banten’s Manpower and Transmigration Office, Al Hamidi, stated in his speech at the awards ceremony that the Zero-Accident and the Health and Safety Committee awards were the provincial government’s acknowledgment for companies that are committed to improving the welfare of their workers, including the protection of their safety and health.

Kholisul Fatikhin, PT IKPP Tangerang Mill’s Head of Sustainability, said that the award was proof that the government takes notice of the company. Whereasfor the company, receiving an award marks a huge gain.

“Receiving this award has made us very enthusiastic. It motivatesour employees to always prioritise work safety. Our main motivation has to come from within us, and we have to go to work and come home safely. We can only keep ourselves safe,”he said.
